Corps Member Empowers Widows with Sewing Machine, Donate Library to School in Yobe State

 Chidimma Atuchukwu Obiageliaku  A corps member serving at Al-Furqan Learners' Academy, Potiskum, Yobe State, has trained and empowered twenty widows on Fashion design and Tailoring skills in an effort to eliminate poverty and unemployment amongst women in the society. The Corps member Chidimma Atuchukwu Obiageliaku who hails from Anambra state said the gesture was born out of her passion and desires to assist the vulnerable and less privileged in the society. The Commissioning and Presentation Ceremony which held on Thursday, 30 June, 2022 at the school premises,  witnessed the presentation of Certificates, Wrappers, Sewing materials and Seven brand new Sewing Machines to the trainee widows. This came after a 6 six weeks intensive training on dress making and other entrepreneurial skills. Smoking increased dramatically during world wars, it was supplied to troops for free mainly to boost their morale but later in the 20th century, it became less popular due to a rapid increase in its health effects. Several types of research were conducted and books published on the dangers of tobacco to health, some of which are Samuel Thomas in 1795, Benjamin Rush in 1798 and many more. World No Tobacco Day was celebrated on May 31 but not known to many due to poor campaigns. LAW AND THE EVIL OF LAWYERS

A gavel This may sound a bit controversial, but I've not seen a profession which promotes evil in the open like the legal profession. With the wig on, lawyers stand before the judge in defence of evil doers and plotters with a mandate of seeking their acquittal, using superior cunning arguments by looking for loopholes in the legal system and twisting the law for the the sole purpose of earning monetary reward from their clients. This can obviously, be attributed to their training. I presumed that one of the training would-be lawyers receive in the law school before being called to bar is how to tacitly playdown on their inherent personal conscience. This is what leaves me pondering over the degree of good conscience left in the legal practitioners. Don't get it twisted, a lot of morally sound lawyers are equally in the Profession across different chambers within the country. Unfortunately, close discerning will reveal how the Profession thrive best in deceit and feasting on th
